1) Does the U-Stripe It & Design Tool stick to the wall with suction cups?
-No there are no suction cups that come with the tool or used with the tool. To use the tool with no hands, you need to use two-way adhesive tape along with delicate painters tape for it to stick to the wall. You would place the two-way adhesive tape on the back of the tool at the four outer edges, and then wrap the delicate painters tape, with the sticky side outward, around the two-way adhesive tape so it doesn’t show. The tool is then safe to stick to the wall. Each time taking the tool off of the wall, gently pull the tool from the wall, moving it to its’ next position. When the delicate tape seems to become non-sticky, just change it with more delicate tape. (An instructional video on this method is coming soon. You could also see this displayed in the video section, in the video “Striping only one wall.”)
2) What two-way tape do you recommend?
-We find 3M Command Mounting Strips (Large Strips) or Scotch Reusable Strips (Clear 1”X3”) work the best. You could cut the strip in half, and then stick those to the tool. You will be using two strips on the tool at a time.
3) What is the difference between vertical stripes and horizontal stripes?
-Vertical stripes add height to any room and horizontal stripes make a room feel spacious.
4) Why was the U-Stripe It & Design Tool invented?
-John Menendez, the inventor/painter, invented this tool to make his job and your job easier, quicker and better when painting stripes.
5) Why didn't you come up with this 2years, 4years, 8years ago, when I painted stripes and was frustrated?
-John the Inventor had the same frustrations and the same ending result; everyone loved the look, but hated to do it. That is how this was invented. The inventor knew there had to be an easier way and came up with the "U-Stripe It & Design Tool." We can't think of the past, just use the tool and design our homes now, hassle free.
